online dating between countries success stories?

I read so many bad stories about online dating. Does anyone know of any success stories? Two people, met in online dating agency, one in US one in UK. Getting very close and aiming to meet soon. Its my sister and I KNOW all the scare stories!! But is there ever any successes? Thanks to all who contribute.
LOL- No, my sister is English, living in the UK. She is gorgeous and attracts men very easily. (unlike me! -lol) She only joined the dating agency as a joke to keep me company! I guess she just sees something different in this guy.

My story is a little different but might still be relevant. I met my wife in person abroad but we then kept the relationship going online until we could take holiday to meet again.

It certainly hepled us to keep things together, being able to chat every day and so on.

I know several people who have married spouses they met online. One of my best friends met his wife of 8 years through a random MSN conversation. Its worked for them.

Of course, tread carefully. Many people will misrepresent themselves online with little regard to the consequences. Its a bit of a minefield but it is possible for relationships to work in this way.
